Overview
Evereden is a kids and family skincare and haircare brand, founded in 2018 by Kimberley Ho and Huang Lee and developed with pediatric dermatologists. The range covers face washes, moisturizers, shampoos, conditioners, suncare and fragrance for babies, kids, tweens and parents.
Evereden sells three ways. Direct to consumer on Shopify, on Amazon, and in retail with Sephora and Kohl’s. Sephora started in Canada and expanded across Asia-Pacific before launching in the US, so the retail business now spans 13 countries.
This case study covers why Evereden chose Fulfil over NetSuite, what the implementation was really like, and how a lean team uses Fulfil and Claude to run a multi-country beauty and skincare business.
The Challenge: Three Channels, Many Tools, One Small Team
Every channel Evereden sells through asks for something different.
- Shopify DTC. On their own site, customers subscribe to the products they reorder and build their own gift sets. Each subscription renewal and custom set is a separate order that has to pull the right component SKUs from inventory.
- Amazon. A separate marketplace with its own listings, orders and inventory to keep in step with DTC.
- Sephora. Retail across 13 countries means purchase orders, advance ship notices, invoices and labeling rules that differ by region.
Inventory, orders and retail compliance each lived in a different tool. The team spent their time reconciling between them.
"We had grown past the point where spreadsheets and point solutions could keep up. Inventory, orders and retail compliance each lived in a different place, and our small team spent too much time reconciling between them instead of running the business."
— Huang Lee, Co-CEO & Co-Founder
For a skincare and haircare brand, that reconciliation matters more than it looks. A single SKU is sold one at a time on Shopify, inside a gift set, on an Amazon listing and on a Sephora purchase order. If those counts don't agree, you either oversell DTC or short a retail order.
Why Evereden Chose Fulfil Over NetSuite
Evereden looked at NetSuite. They didn't want to take a general-purpose ERP and pay consultants to rebuild it for a consumer brand.
"We wanted something built for modern consumer brands, not a general-purpose ERP we'd have to bend into shape. Fulfil already understood Shopify, Amazon and retail EDI. Just as important, the team felt like a partner who would move at our speed."
— Huang Lee, Co-CEO & Co-Founder
Fulfil already had what Evereden's channels needed:
- A native Shopify integration for DTC orders, subscriptions and products
- A direct Amazon integration so marketplace orders and inventory don't route through a third tool
- Retail EDI with Sephora set up as a trading partner, covering purchase orders, ship notices and invoices
None of it needed to be built from scratch, which left the implementation free to focus on Evereden's own workflows.
Implementation: Honest About the Bumps
Huang doesn't describe the implementation as perfect, and we won't either.
"It was a real project, and there were bumps, as there are with any ERP. What stood out was that the Fulfil team stayed close, took ownership when things went sideways, and kept pushing until it worked."
— Huang Lee, Co-CEO & Co-Founder
Every ERP project hits problems. What separates them is who owns the problem when it shows up. Fulfil runs implementations in-house instead of handing them to a third-party consultant. The people who configured Evereden's channels were the same people fixing them when something broke.
One Place for Orders, Inventory and Retail Operations
Since going live, Evereden runs orders, inventory and retail operations from one system instead of reconciling exports.
"Before Fulfil we stitched together several tools and lived in exports. Now there's one place where orders, inventory and retail operations meet, and the team can trust what they're looking at."
— Huang Lee, Co-CEO & Co-Founder
Day to day, that looks like this:
- DTC subscriptions and gift sets. Shopify orders come into Fulfil, including subscription renewals and build-your-own gift sets. Each set is fulfilled as the individual skincare and haircare products inside it, so inventory comes off the right component SKUs.
- Amazon and Shopify on shared inventory. Both channels sell from the same stock positions, so the team isn't keeping two counts in sync by hand.
- Sephora across 13 countries. Retail purchase orders arrive by EDI. Ship notices and invoices go back out from the same records the warehouse ships against, so retail compliance lives next to the order data.

A Lean Team That Leans on AI
Evereden runs lean and uses AI heavily. With Fulfil's MCP server connected to Claude, anyone on the team can ask questions of their ERP data in plain English. Nobody waits on a report or an analyst.
"We're a lean team and we lean hard on AI. With the Fulfil MCP connected to Claude, anyone on the team can ask questions of our live ERP data in plain English, from inventory positions to order status, without waiting on a report. It's changed who on the team can get answers, and how fast."
— Huang Lee, Co-CEO & Co-Founder
For a skincare and haircare brand selling across three channels, the useful questions are specific:
- How many units of a kids shampoo are on hand, and how many are committed to open Sephora orders?
- Which DTC orders from this week haven't shipped yet?
- How is a new gift set selling on Shopify compared to Amazon?
People on the team who don't write SQL or build reports can now get these answers themselves. That's what Huang means by changing who gets answers.

Growth Without Adding Headcount to Match
In the past year, Evereden has added new retail partners and new markets. Their headcount hasn't grown to match.
"In the past year we've added new retail partners and markets. Fulfil has let us take those on without adding headcount to match."
— Huang Lee, Co-CEO & Co-Founder
New retail partners and new countries add orders, documents and inventory to manage. Because Fulfil already holds the EDI connections, channel integrations and shared inventory, each new partner is a setup project rather than a new hire.
A Partnership, Not Just a Vendor
Asked what makes the relationship different, Huang pointed to the people more than the software.
"Leadership is accessible and accountable. When something goes wrong, they don't hide behind the contract. Rajen and Aastha have both personally stepped in when it mattered. That's rare with software vendors, and it's why we keep building on Fulfil."
— Huang Lee, Co-CEO & Co-Founder
"They're builders. When we bring a problem, the response is usually "let's figure it out," not "that's not supported.""
— Huang Lee, Co-CEO & Co-Founder
