FAQ

Questions? Answers.

Which Mercury accounts sync into Fulfil?
A single Mercury integration imports transactions from all your accounts, including checking, savings, treasury, and credit card accounts. Each Mercury account is set up as its own bank account in Fulfil with its own general ledger mapping.
How are Mercury accounts mapped to my chart of accounts?
You map each account by type: checking, savings, and treasury map to cash or bank GL accounts, and credit card accounts map to a credit card liability account. You can keep a separate GL account per Mercury account or combine them based on how you want to track them.
How does the sync work, and which transactions import?
Mercury transactions sync automatically and import directly into the bank feed rather than being grouped into a single statement. Only posted transactions import; pending ones are excluded so your reconciliation stays accurate, and there are no CSV imports or statement uploads.
Do I have to categorize each transaction by hand?
No. You set up bank rules that match transactions by description, amount, or other fields and post the journal entries automatically, for example routing anything containing SUBSCRIPTION to a software expense account. Card transactions also carry a merchant category code, which Fulfil uses to show a merchant icon while you code.
Can I make payments through the Mercury integration?
No. This is a read-only integration that imports transaction history, so the API token only needs read access. To send payments, use your Mercury dashboard directly.
Can I check my Mercury balances without opening Fulfil?
Yes. Fulfil is an agentic ERP, so you can ask Claude or ChatGPT over MCP for live cash and Mercury balances, or edit records in plain English straight from the chat.
