The direction depends on the type of bill. Inventory bills, meaning PO-linked supplier invoices, are created in Fulfil and exported to BILL when posted. Non-inventory bills such as services, utilities, and other operating expenses are created in BILL and imported into Fulfil. Payments made in BILL then sync back and mark the matching invoices as paid.

Approved bills and bill payments sync automatically on a schedule. A bill has to be Approved in BILL before it will import into Fulfil; pending or draft bills are not pulled in.

Yes. BILL departments and classes map to Fulfil classes through the class categories you set during configuration. You keep the department and class detail from BILL on the imported invoice for expense reporting and cost allocation.

Payments made in BILL sync back to Fulfil and mark the matching invoices as paid, keeping your accounts payable balances current. Payments post even when the related invoice sits in a closed accounting period.

Yes. Use Pay via Bill.com against a confirmed purchase order to send a prepayment. Fulfil creates the bill in BILL right away but holds the journal entry until BILL confirms the payment, then auto-matches the prepayment against the inventory bill once it posts after the three-way match.

Vendors are matched by email address and created automatically in either system when there is no match. Bills export and import in their own currency, translated using Fulfil's own exchange rate for the invoice date, so the currency has to already exist in Fulfil.
